The ICCT seeks a highly motivated and committed Fellow who will contribute their energy and creativity towards research that will shape the global technology transition in the heavy-duty vehicle sector. This fellowship will provide the opportunity to work at the intersection of vehicle technology, economics, and public policy. This 12-month fellowship, based in our office in San Francisco, California , is best suited to someone with inventiveness, creativity, resourcefulness, and curiosity, willing to work hard and learn fast.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in environmental or energy topics, have excellent writing skills, international experience (education, travel or work), and demonstrated interest in solving our most pressing global health and environmental challenges. Written and/or spoken fluency in two languages is preferred but not required.
To be successful in our work environment, you must be intellectually curious, self-directed, and able to work with people from across the globe. The ICCT is a non-profit international research organization that supports the effective design and implementation of policies to address the impacts of the global transportation sector on climate change and public health. Our organization achieves this by providing high quality and timely data-driven research to public officials at all levels of government–city, state, national, regional and international–as well as to civil society and the media.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) fellowship for 12 months. The position may lead to regular, full-time employment depending on organizational resources and the Fellow’s performance. After the shelter-in-place restrictions are lifted and the organization determines that it is safe for employees to return to the office, the position will be based in the ICCT’s office in San Francisco, California. ICCT offers a competitive hourly range between $26-$31, depending on experience.
