Responsibilities

You will:

  • Prepare or review National Pollutant Discharge Elimination (NPDES) permits (issuance, reissuance, and modification) for extremely complex treatment, facilities.
  • Provide authoritative technical advice and support to state, local or tribal agencies regarding technical and/or scientific criteria and methods; implementation of pollution control requirements; and impacts of pollutants.
  • Resolve critical, politically sensitive, and highly complex issues related to NPDES permit requirements and defend NPDES permits against legal challenges, along with Office of Regional Counsel (ORC).
  • Respond to NPDES permit inquiries as an agency spokesperson.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - You may be required to travel less than 25% of each month.
