We are seeking a talented EHS associate to support the EHS Senior Manager in the launch of our EHS organizational strategic plan through assisting with the implementation of best-practice policies, procedures, and training while driving the reduction of safety incidents and non-compliances. Responsibilities will include site inspections, facility compliance, EHS training, and partnering and supporting our teams across the world. The ideal candidate will possess experience supporting relationship building and innovative thinking around a robust EHS Culture. They will have a working knowledge of OSHA and Environmental compliance and local/state/national regulations and industry best practices

The successful candidate will be part of the Global EHS Team and partner with a diverse team of legal, HR, facilities, safety, engineering, design, and operations professionals. They will be key in supporting the effort to build and sustain a world class EHS organization.


  • Support both short and long-term strategies to cultivate Lyft’s EHS mission, vision, and culture
  • Support safety committees at every location
  • Ensure facilities compliance with OSHA, local, state, and national regulations and industry best practices
  • Assist in the development of safety policies/procedures along with training to ensure understanding and implementation by leaders and team members
  • Conduct incident investigations and lead post-accident problem solving and after action reviews
  • Provide day-to-day ergonomic support, role-specific training, and general safety coaching to team members
  • Support the EHS database to utilize data/analytics to maintain accurate safety records, analyze trends, and drive decision-making
  • Routine documentation, recordkeeping, hazard assessments, and safety audits


  • 2+ years' of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
  • BS/BA in technical disciplines related to Environmental Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Construction Management, and/or Architecture preferred
  • Eligible for Associate Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist within 1 year of hire
  • Familiarity working in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and national compliance and regulatory requirements
    Ability to travel frequently
