ICF is seeking an experienced manager to help clients design, implement, and evolve their energy-efficiency and decarbonization programs. This position will be based in our Fairfax, VA office. Successful candidates will manage the implementation of high-profile public-private partnership programs to drive improved energy performance across commercial, industrial, institutional, and multifamily market sectors.
What you will be doing . . .
Working with government clients to manage voluntary partnership programs to improve energy efficiency and decarbonization in the commercial, industrial, and multifamily sectors.
Managing teams of staff and subcontractors providing program management, outreach/communications support, technical assistance, and analytics to clients. Ensure high quality and timely delivery while meeting project budgets.
Providing industry expertise to help clients evolve existing programs and launch new programs to address market barriers to decarbonization of the building sector.
Coordinating with other team members to provide comprehensive climate solutions to clients, incorporating renewable energy, transportation, resilience, workforce development, and energy equity.
Building and maintaining relationships with key clients.
Supporting business development strategies, client engagement, capture, and proposals to assisting in expanding work with existing clients and new clients.
What you need to have . . .
Master’s degree in environmental studies, public policy, or related discipline
12+ years of related work experience.
Experience managing market transformation programs for energy efficiency in the commercial, industrial, institutional, and/or multifamily building sectors.
Experience with the development/delivery of public-private voluntary partnership programs.
Experience engaging government sector clients and helping with strategic program development.
Proven leadership in energy solutions and program management
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Highly-developed interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
Solid personal computer skills (Microsoft applications).
Experience managing consulting project teams.
Experience leveraging analytics, including energy performance benchmarking or energy modeling, to drive outcomes for energy efficiency programs.
Experience writing reports, articles, case studies, or other communications materials.
