The Conservation Capital Program (CCP) of the Open Space Institute (OSI) seeks to facilitate protection of priority landscapes in the eastern United States by making available grant and loan capital to the region’s land trusts, public agencies and others entities for land transactions, with a focus on climate change and watershed protection; and by conducting research and providing planning assistance that complement and enhance CCP’s capital investments and elevate the importance of land protection as a response to climate change and threats to water quality. The Program is currently active with capital regrant initiatives in select states in New England (Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine); the Middle Atlantic (New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey); and the southeast (North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia), and planning grants and outreach available across the Eastern United States.
The Vice President of the Conservation Capital Program (CCP) will oversee all aspects of OSI’s conservation capital program, including capital regrants, loan underwriting, education and outreach activities, communications, strategic planning, and fundraising.
