Metro’s Parks and Nature team is looking for CMMS Database Coordinator. In this role you will be supporting and providing CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) database management for Asset Essentials, the maintenance management software used by Metro. This role will be the primary support of our Park Operations team with centralized inventorying, ordering, scheduling, reporting and various other tasks. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be organized, detail-oriented, and independent to coordinate work that will ensure our park and natural area facilities and equipment are well-maintained. This work is critical to providing guests a safe and welcoming place where they can enjoy nature close to home.

As the* Parks CMMS Database Coordinator, *you will:

  • Build and manage the computer maintenance management database Asset Essentials
  • Create and maintain database guides and training for staff
  • Create, assign, and prioritize work orders
  • Track Park assets and work on strategic planning for capital replacement and budgeting.
  • Coordinate contracted services across Metro’s parks portfolio
  • Keep staff and resources updated; including, guides, operation manuals and project needs on a regular and annual basis
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor with contract management including tracking, identifying gaps in services, contract amendments and keeping up to date lists of service contractors and vendors
  • Coordinate monthly and annual reporting
  • Organize and coordinate retired or surplus equipment sales and disposal processes
  • Engage in continued learning of diversity, equity, and inclusion

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of relevant experience
  • We will consider any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Required:

  • Valid driver’s license

Specific schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm. Reporting location: Blue Lake Park, with occasional visits to other parks as needed for asset management and database collections.

COVID-19 vaccination requirement:
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is considered a minimum qualification requirement for Metro job applicants. This proof will be requested during the hiring process.

Your transferable skills are any skills you have gained through education, work experience, including the military, or life experience that are relevant for this position.

  • Experience working in or supporting park or cemetery operations.
  • Background in general trades and basic knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules and practices
  • Experience or general understanding of the complexities of government procurement and contracting processes
  • Experience in building a database or asset management systems
  • Experience in a project management type position

COMPENSATION AND REPRESENTATION
Based on the Oregon Pay Equity Act requirements, Metro’s internal equity review process, and the candidates’ qualifications, the appointment will typically be made between $69,721.60 – $76,814.40 annually. The full-salary range for this position is $69,721.60 – $93,433.60 annually.
