WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
This Program Manager II position in the Energy, Climate, and Compliance
Division (ECCD) is a key part of a team focused on addressing climate change
in Montgomery County. Working with ECCD program staff, this position will lead
the Division’s efforts to identify, apply for, and implement grants supporting
ECCD’s innovative programs. The recent passage of the Bipartisan
Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act provide unprecedented
levels of funding to help reduce community-wide greenhouse gas emissions,
create a more climate resilient community, and address racial equity and the
needs of underserved communities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Thorough five (5) years of professional experience related to
the development and issuance of grant funding or applying for and managing the
use of grant funding.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
bachelor’s degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be
substituted.
PREFERRED CRITERIA
There are NO Preferred Criteria Assessments. All Applicants will be
reviewed by the Office of Human Resources (OHR) for minimum qualifications.
Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be rated “Qualified”,
placed on the eligible list, and may be considered for an interview. Employees
meeting minimum qualifications of the same grade or higher will be placed on
the Eligible List as a “Transfer” candidate and may be considered for an
interview.
